NADC VIDEO PROJECT
OBJECTIVE: The mission of the NADC Video Project is to distribute information about NADC, its history and its program for marketing and to preserve the video for NADC’s archives.
SHORT-TERM GOAL: To create a video that will increase the public’s awareness of NADC.
LONG-TERM GOALS: The video will be used as a tool:
- increase the public’s awareness of NADC’s history,
- to enhance their search for a better understanding of their identity,
- to acquire a working knowledge of the current issues within the Asian Deaf Community in the USA.
- to be a voice representing the Asian Deaf community to the world at large, educating the viewers and eventually, the nation’s Capital.
CONTENTS OF THE VIDEO:
- NADC’s History: Ad Hoc Committee – interviews: vision of an Asian Deaf Organization and why it was important to them (A Dream Begins) and NADC / ADC Conferences: collect responses from public in general of their experiences
- NADC’s Executive Board, Committees, Chapters, Members – Interviews about what their definition of an Asian Deaf individual are (Who We Are)
- NADC today: what does our organization do? (Our Programs, Services and/or Projects)
- NADC in the future; what will we be doing (Our Plans)
TARGET DATE: Debut at the 2010 NADC Conference
BUDGET: Initial: $500; Final: $1,500 = $2,000
